Hello & Welcome To This Weeks Fishing Tip of the Week!
This weeks tip coincides with the weather we might see this week. Some people think that rain puts a instant damper on your fishing trip. In truth if your prepared for the weather it can make a fishing trip worthwhile. So my advice is don't be afriad of melting!! Fish particularly with heavy tackle and fresh shad for some of the best Red Fish action you can find in the surf. Now, you might be wondering why fishing in a storm is a 'prime' time to catch fish. Well fish respond to a little something called barometric pressure. So if we have a storm roll in, the barometric pressure drops. In my opinon this can change fishing in a very positive way. A lot of the pier's 'Old Timers' will tell you they have spent many a night on the pier watching Bull Red after Bull Red Hit the deck along with the rain! My Bait recommendation for this type of condition is FRESH Shad & Mullet! In this type of water using an artificial becomes taxing and a real shot in the dark. Rely on scent to talk your fish into it.
