Maximize your chances of a great catch with one of our professional pier guides. Beginner or seasoned angler — we tailor every session to your skill level.
During your 2-hour session, our guide puts you right where the fish are biting and teaches you the best techniques for Gulf Coast pier fishing. A $50 deposit is required to secure your spot, and reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Bait ($8) and rod rentals ($10 + $35 deposit) at the pier shop. Bring your own if you prefer.

Amanda has been passionate about fishing her entire life — starting with her grandma, she fell in love with deep-sea fishing over 20 years ago. As a Captain at Galveston Fishing Pier for the past four years, she teaches children and adults the basics of fishing: anatomy, identification, and regulations. Her grant-supported program brings 1,800 kids annually through Texas Parks & Wildlife.
Hailing from Lake Granbury, Amanda's favorite part of the job is watching faces light up as anglers reel in their first fish — whether it's a big shark or a small saltwater catch.
